Zakłady Magnezytowe "Ropczyce" S.A. is the largest manufacturer of ceramic refractory materials in Poland and one of the largest manufacturer of ceramic refractory materials in Europe.

Environmental policy

The Environmental Policy of Zakłady Magnezytowe Ropczyce S.A. is based on the principles of sustained development and its aim is to ensure technical and organizational conditions that make it possible to restrict and exercise control over the influence of the economic activity of our Company onto the environment.

Being fully aware of potential consequences of our influence onto the natural environment and the necessity to improve actions in favour of its protection, we assume the obligation to:

  • continually improve our Company’s management system, putting special emphasis on the growth of concern for the condition of the natural environment as one of our major strategic factors
  • conduct actions in order to prevent pollutants resulting from the manufacturing character of our Company’s activity * fulfil legal requirements and regulations concerning the environment and other requirements concerning our Company’s activity
  • fulfil legal requirements and regulations concerning the environment and other requirements concerning our Company’s activity.

We implement the above policy through:

  • implementation of pro-ecologic technologies in our production process
  • modernization works in order to reduce the amounts of pollutants emitted to the atmosphere on an admissible low level
  • rational utilization of natural resources
  • improvement of the waste management
  • personnel training and formation of a conscious and responsible approach to actions favourable to the natural environment
  • periodic assessment of the effectiveness of our targets and task
  • creation of the image of an environment friendly company.

Our Environmental Policy is known to all our employees and it is publicly available.
